Your business with the MTW Cooperative and our members supports the storytelling of people transforming their lives in 12-Step Recovery Rooms. Dollars spent with the MTW Cooperative are an investment in sharing stories that help people navigate life and tackle their everyday issues and struggles while moving the world. The Mission of the Moving the World (MTW) Cooperative is to provide entrepreneurial opportunities in the gig market sector for Millennials and XYZers in media while building an online community of people, businesses and groups dedicated to supporting hope in the face of despair and extreme obstacles.
MTW Cooperative is a B2B Networking Platform. Members are encouraged to help build the Cooperative by doing business with one another when and where possible and to offer other MTW Members relevant discounts where applicable as this also helps develop the Cooperative and supports the Mission.
MTW Marketing efforts are designed to generate revenue and business for the Cooperative and its members while simultaneously supporting our mission and vision of building a community for all who believe in moving self to Move the World.

Father Steven S. Kirk, M. Div
President
Father Steven S. Kirk, M. Div has a lifetime of pastorship and professional experience in fundraising, project stewardship and startup of management with communities and churches across the United States. He has earned a Master’s of Divinity with honors from Yale University and he also holds a Bachelor’s of Art and Economics graduating magna cum laude from North Carolina Architectural and Technical State University in Greensboro.
Paul Skyers
Vice President
Paul Skyers has been at the helm of Chasser Associates, a management consultancy, for the past 21 years. He is an energetic and focused professional with over 24 years of Real Estate Development, Loan Packaging, and Business Management experience who has demonstrable expertise in Financial Analysis, Alternative Energy Development, Business Financing, Strategic Analysis, and Business Plan Writing. Possessing an extraordinary breadth of practical experience and knowledge in the operations of a wide array of business types (across diverse industries: from Retail to Manufacturing to High Tech to Professional Service-based entities). Mr. Skyers is a detail-oriented Real Estate Development Analyst who excels at designing complex financial models and at providing management with valuable decision support information. Fe is also a highly skilled Financial Analyst leveraging innate curiosity, analytical skills and powerful leadership skills with a driving passion for Green Business Projects.
James “Jim” Temple
Treasurer
James “Jim” Temple has over 30 years experience in banking operations, accounting operations and treasury management. He has led various operational units during his 15 years in banking at the local, state and national levels. Starting his own consulting organization in 1996, Mr. Temple has led teams of consultants on assignment to several banking and insurance operations across the country including agencies of the US Department of Agricultural (USDA). Mr. Temple holds a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Psychology from Vanderbilt University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Houston. He’s also graduate of the Fuqua School of Cash Management at Duke University and has earned the title Certified Cash Manager (CCM) status of the Association of Financial Professionals. He retired in 2013 to Houston and to opportunities for serving his family and community in financial management and accounting activities.
Dr. Kathleen A. Garland
Secretary
Dr. Kathleen A. Garland provides MTW with the of the social, environmental and financial elements of a successful green business. Dr. Garland has worked in regulatory agencies as well as her own management consulting firm. She is currently on the faculty at the University of Houston – Clear Lake where she teaches environmental management.
